    1. Information We Collect

    Account data. When you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple-provided user identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name and email address. We do not receive your Apple ID password.

    Recipes & preferences. Recipes you import or create, meal plans, dietary preferences, kitchen settings, and cooking session history are stored in your account so they sync across devices.

    Voice data. When you use hands-free cooking mode, audio is processed for voice commands. Audio is streamed to our server for speech-to-text conversion and is not stored after processing.

    Usage analytics. We collect anonymous, aggregated usage data (e.g., feature adoption, crash reports) to improve the app. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.

    2. How We Use Your Information

    • Provide, maintain, and improve Sue's features
    • Personalize recipe recommendations based on your preferences
    • Process voice commands during cooking sessions
    • Send cooking timer notifications you've set
    • Diagnose technical issues and prevent abuse

    3. Data Sharing

    We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

    • Infrastructure providers (hosting, database, AI/ML services) that process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements
    • Apple & RevenueCat for subscription management and purchase verification
    • Law enforcement when required by applicable law

    4. Data Storage & Security

    Your data is stored on secure, encrypted servers (Supabase / PostgreSQL with row-level security). We use HTTPS for all data transmission. While no system is perfectly secure, we follow industry best practices to protect your information.

    5. Data Retention & Deletion

    Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the app. When you delete your account, all personal data — including recipes, preferences, and cooking history — is permanently removed within 30 days.

    6. Children's Privacy

    Sue is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

    7. Your Rights

    Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.

    8. Changes to This Policy

    We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the app or on this page with a revised effective date.
